What to Expect

Do I have to be a Christian to come? Do I have to be a Baptist?

No, all are welcome to join us for worship.

What are services like?

Our worship services typically include Scripture, music, teaching, giving, and prayer. On the first Sunday of the month, we take communion (The Lord's Supper) together.

Our prayer times involve periodic updates on individuals, ministries, and churches around the world that are suffering under persecution as Christians. We in the United States are blessed with religious freedoms, but we want to take time to pray for those around the world who do not have those freedoms.

Where do I park?

Our parking lot is relatively small. However, there is free parking across the street at Town Hall and free on-street parking on Lafayette and Main Streets.

Where do I go?

From Palm Sunday through December, we worship in the upstairs Sanctuary. If you enter through the front doors, go up the stairs; if you enter by the parking lot door (Lafayette Street side), turn left, cross the Fellowship Hall, and come up the stairs or elevator. (Click here to access maps.)

During the winter months, we worship in the downstairs Chapel, directly off of Fellowship Hall.

What about my kids?

If you have young children, we have a family area behind the sanctuary that you can use. Our sound system projects out to this foyer area, so you won't miss the service.

Childcare is provided for children ages 0-5 on the third floor of the building for the duration of the worship service. For more information, please contact our children's coordintaor Louise DeSisto at 781-245-0059 or ljdesisto_6@yahoo.com.

Elementary aged children are invited to join their parents in the sanctuary during the worship service. We have activity sheets available with focus questions to help your kids engage with what's going on during the service.

What should I wear?

Most people wear "dress clothes" (suit, khakis, dress pants, skirts, etc.), but others are dressed more casually. Feel free to come as you are.

Will I be put on the spot?

We'll be glad you are visiting, so you can expect to be greeted warmly, but we won't ask you to stand up and introduce yourself. We have a guest book for you to sign, or you can fill out a visitor card and give that as your offering. If you'd like to meet a few people one-on-one, join us for Coffee Hour after the service.

How do you follow up with visitors?

If you provide us with your contact information, we can send you a copy of our church newsletter, and will be glad to follow up with any inquiries that you have. We'd also love to hear your thoughts on your visiting experience. Feel free to connect with us via the contact form on this page.

Can someone pray with me?

Prayer partners are available after each worship service at the front of the room. You are always welcome to come and receive prayer.

  • Elevator from street level to Sanctuary (be sure to enter via our Lafayette Street door)
  • Chair lift to 2nd floor, including church office and adult classes
